Superlux partners with Bella Homes to create an exceptional showhome in Whangarei

Working with other partners in the Future Proof Building team, Superlux have created an energy efficient and elegant lighting solution for this unusual showhome.
Conceived In conjunction with Bella Homes and Northland Cricket this home can be easily transformed to become the team pavilion of the Northern Knights (Northern Districts Cricket team). This collaboration is part of a bid to get international fixtures held at the Cobham Oval and the home is situated right on the boundary line!
Development required out of the box thinking in all areas, and the lighting plan created by Superlux combines energy efficiency with elegance and helps create a contemporary ambience in tune with the other finishes and fixtures in the home.
 
Extensive use has been made of the Superlux SD125F recessed downlight , the most energy efficient purpose-designed downlight on the market today. This product achieves 85% energy savings compared to a standard 100W incandescent fitting and has been used in many parts of the home to great effect.
The kitchen is one of the most important parts of the home and we have focused on two fittings for this area:
 
Over-bench task lighting
We chose our fluorescent pendant the SGX53-4P-CH for its good looks and energy efficiency. The four 9W fluorescent lamps provide excellent savings over conventional halogen pendants.
Downlights
The recessed downlights in the kitchen area are the Superlux SV GMR2. These gimble frame lights were chosen as they can be adjusted on 2 axes making them flexible in directing light to the right location. MRE energy saver lamps were chosen to continue the energy efficient theme.
